FLOAT TRIP DOWN THE COLORADO RIVER
Today's journey will encompass fifteen spectacular miles of Colorado River between Glen Canyon Dam and historic Lees Ferry, gateway to the Grand Canyon. This is a smooth water float trip perfect for the entire family, and one of the most popular trips in all of northern Arizona! Begin with an exciting ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. SNAKE RIVER FLOAT TRIP THROUGH GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK
This gentle 10-mile float trip runs entirely within Grand Teton National Park, and covers the most scenic stretch of the Snake River within the entire Jackson Hole Valley. The Snake River is a lifeline to bison, elk, moose, beaver, pronghorn, deer, bear, and 300 different species of birds, including osprey and eagles. It offers lush willows to feed on, deep-water pools to swim in and groves of aspen to wander through. To be on the river is to see, hear, feel and smell wilderness in a way the park's casual visitor never can. Your experienced guide offers in-depth information on the geology of the Grand Tetons and the habitats of the animals you may see. Grand Teton National Park is home to the greatest variety of wildlife in the 48 contiguous states. Custer State Park is known for its beauty and serenity, but it is also a wildlife reserve that is home to a famous herd of 1500 free roaming bison. elk, mule deer, white tailed deer, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, mountain lions and feral burros that also inhabit the park. The driver/guides on our jeep will offer historical and educational information about the park and wildlife on a 90-minute scenic tour of the back country. You'll get upclose and personal with herds of buffalo and other species. Afterwards, enjoy an authentic chuckwagon cookout at a secluded canyon with a menu featuring steaks, burgers, plenty of cowboy beans, cornbread, potato salad, watermelon, cole slaw, cookies and coffee or lemonade.
