Early afternoon,our driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the boat pier to rendezvous with the Mekhala rice barge where you will go on board and meet the crew and other guests. The boat departs from Bangkok mid-afternoon gliding gracefully north past the temples and sites on Bangkok. At dusk, the Mekhala docks for an overnight stay at the peaceful Kai Tia Temple. An optional wake-up call at 06.00 in time for a traditional alms offering to the Buddhist monks is followed by a sumptuous yet leisurely breakfast en route. In the late morning disembark at Bang-Pa-In for a guided tour of the Summer Palace, one of the finest examples of Thai architecture. Then all aboard for an exhilarating long-tail boat ride to the ancient city of Ayuthaya. Feast upon an exquisite Thai lunch at a riverside restaurant and then take a trip back in time on a guided tour of the city's spectacular ancient ruins. Visit Wat Mongkhon Bophit, Wat Pra Si San Phet and Wat Mahathat. Continue north by car to Uthai Thani in the heart of rural Thailand. Reach the provincial capital in time to visit Wat Tasung and its interesting Crystal and Golden Halls. Overnight in Uthaithani
After breakfast, visit the morning market and then free at leisure to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere or you may wish to enjoy an easy ride around the area to witness the local lifestyle, late morning drive to Kanchanaburi. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Afternoon, first visit JEATH Museum and the second world war cemetery and if time permits, take a train ride on the infamous death railway line through the Kwai Noi gorge. Overnight in Kanchanaburi
Breakfast at the hotel, visit an elephant camp where you can experience an elephant ride through the jungle and followed by a gentle bamboo raft on a peaceful Kwai Yai River. Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Afternoon, visit Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua - well known as Tiger Temple. The Tiger Temple is a rescue centre for wild animals and the home of wild tigers, wild pigs, deer, antelopes, water buffalos, apes and a hand full other animals. The tigers are taken out from their cage in the afternoon and visitors can see them walk through a canyon with the monks. Return to Bangkok in the late afternoon
