Fare Rules

  • VALIDITY:
    Minimum stay: Travel on the last int'l sector must commerce no earlier than 10 days after commencement of the 1st int'l sector
    Maximum stay: 12 months

  • RESERVATION:
    Reservation must be made prior to departure of the first flight.
    Passengers will be accommodated in the lower class on sectors where First/Business class is not offered/available at the time of booking. No refund will apply.
    Exception: Passengers will be accommodated in First Class subject to availability of seats at the time of booking on sectors within/between the Continental USA/Canada where business class is not offered.

  • Endorsement: VALID ONLY ON AA/AX/AY/BA/CX/EI/IB/LA/QF/LP/non-refundable

  • TICKETING:
    Anytime up to 1 hour prior to departure of the first flight
    Permitted ticket stock of AA/AY/BA/CX/EI/IB/LA/QF/LP
    Endorsement is not required for reissue.

    Charges for the additional flight segments is shown as Q in the fare calculation line following the city pair.

  • Routing Exception:
    Travel must be via the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans.
    Only 1 crossing of each ocean is permitted.
    Transoceanic surface is not permitted.
    Travel must commence from & return to the same country. Exception: Singapore & Malaysia is considered as the same county.
    Travel must be in a continuous forward direction between Area 1 - Area 2 - Area 3

    Note: Backtrack within a continent is permitted.
    2 permitted in North America. 1 must be a transit without stopover between South America and another continent.
    2 permitted in Asia. 1 must be a transit without stopover or on direct flight between Southwest Pacific and Europe.
    2 permitted in Europe to/from/via/Ghana/Nigeria. 1 must be transit without stopover between Ghana/Nigeria and another continent.
    Unlimited online/offline transfer permitted between participating carriers.
    Intermediate surface segments permitted.
    Intercontinental travel shall be defined as travel from one continent to another. Travel between points in United States/Canada/Mexico/Caribbean Area/Central America/Panama

    Travel via the original point of origin not permitted.
    Within Hawaii and the continent U.S./Canada/Puerto Rico/Virgin Islands not permitted.

  • Changes:
    After ticketing , changes to the first int'l flight and to preceding flights are not permitted.
    Unlimited date/time changes are permitted at no charge after departure.

    Note: All other routing charges are permitted at a charge of USD75 per transaction.

    Exception: Routing is permitted free of charge for certified death/illness of the passenger, the passenger's immediate family or an accompanying passenger.
    oneworld carrier changes are permitted without reissue. However, origin, destination, connect points and inventory must remain the same.
    If new routing results in increase of the number of Continents/extra flight segments, ticket may be upgraded to a higher oneworld explorer fare upon payment of the difference in fare recalculated from the point of origin plus a rerouting/reissue charge.
    If new routing is no longer RTW travel, collect the difference if any between the fare paid and the applicable fare for the new journey calculated from the point of origin plus a rerouting/reissue charge. No refund applies if the recalculated fare for the new journey is lower than the RTW fare paid.

  • Cancellations/Refund:
    Before departure, full refund. (Refer to individual carrier for any administrative fee charge).
    After departure, refund if any. Note: Refund will be based on the difference between fares paid and the applicable fare for the journey travelled.
    In addition, charge of 10% of the ticketed amount for cancellation/no show/refund. (Waived for certified death/illness of the passenger, the passenger's immediate family or an accompany passenger. 

  • Upgrade:
    Upgrade permitted from any economy oneworld explorer fare to First/Business Class, or Business to First Class without penalty.
    Note: American Airlines Advantage upgrade awards permitted on AA sectors using AA awards only. Upgrade on OA partner sectors not allowed.

  • Children/Discount:
    Child: 75% of the adult fare for accompanied child 2-11years & infant under 2 years occupying a seat.
    Unaccompanied child 2-11 years not accepted. Fare basis - Base fare code plus CH  
    (e.g. MONE3CH)
    Infant:10% of the adult fare for infant under 2 years without a seat - Base fare code plus IN
    (e.g. MONE3IN)
    Note: Children/infant discounts apply to all surcharges.

  • Baggage:
    Piece system applies to entire journey.
